Day 175 — Describing Invincible

Today I wrote our company/app description we’ll use at our upcoming conference. My goal is to convey the value we deliver to school nurses so we can start signing on schools to use the platform. We’re entering a new phase for Invincible where I intend to transition from product development to sales / biz dev, and crafting the messaging is a critical input to this activity.

As always, I welcome your feedback!

Long description

Invincible is the easiest and most secure way to coordinate care at school for students with chronic health issues like type 1 diabetes, epilepsy, and asthma. The Invincible App helps school nurses securely document care, coordinate with school staff, and communicate to parents — all from one easy-to-use student care app.

1 in 4 kids lives with a chronic health issue like type 1 diabetes1, yet only 39% of schools employ full-time school nurses2. Delivering medication, administering checkups, and preventing emergencies…these are just a few of the daily challenges that come with managing a chronic condition at school. With limited resources, coordinating care is an all-hands on deck activity involving teachers, office staff, health staff, and parents But existing communication methods are a patchwork of phone calls, paper-based care logs, and text messages, making coordination slow and cumbersome. Ultimately, this adds to an already-full plate for school nurses and exposes schools to liability, school staff and parents to constant stress, and kids to suboptimal care.

The Invincible App helps school nurses build supportive teams and save time doing it. Their step-by-step approach to documenting care makes managing a chronic condition easier than ever. No more patchwork solutions. Their team-based approach brings the whole team together to deliver the best care possible, every time. As questions arise, help is just a message away. As care is delivered, a secure record of care is created that is always accessible for safe record-keeping and care improvements from healthcare providers.

At its core, Invincible focuses on 3 things:

  1. Creating a secure record of care: As you provide care, we automatically create a secure record of care and communicate it to the team. When you need it, you can print care logs with the click of a button.
  2. Improving communication: Once care is provided, we automatically let families know what’s happening. When there are questions or follow-up, our HIPAA-compliant platform makes it easy and secure to communicate.
  3. Supercharging your health resources: Monitor kids and staff wherever you are and access their data together in one place. As issues arise, collaborate together with your school team in one, secure place.

Invincible was founded by Bob Weishar, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 18. His personal mission in life is to help kids with chronic health issues realize they can do anything. While founding the company, he spent the first year sitting down with school nurses and learned first-hand the superpowers they possess for inspiring students.
