Day 172 — Wrapping up another week

This week I worked on our marketing collateral for our schools product. We effectively have 2–3 months until schools come back in the fall and it’s our plan to start driving traction to our communication product. We have a school nursing conference in 2 weeks that will be the kick-off to our launch and this week was the first chance to start working on it.

Here’s how it went.

💡What I Learned

This was the first time I fully focused on school nurses as our target customer with our messaging. It really helped starting with our end user and led to some better messaging in the end. Using the Press Release & FAQ approach was a really good starting point, and following up with landing page messaging further refined our approach and how we’ll message to end users.

👍 What Went Well

Focus. Different from last week, this week felt very focused. I had clear deliverables and objectives throughout the week and knew exactly what I had to do each day. Clear focus makes all the difference.

👎 Opportunities to Improve

  • Progress. I hoped to finish a bit more of our marketing collateral this week — it leaves me 1 week left to finish everything before the conference deadline.
  • Sales. I can’t help but think that none of this work matters unless we make sales — and that’s likely to come from our outreach efforts. We quickly need to pivot from marketing collateral to actually testing and refining our messaging.

This week I’ll look to wrap up the remaining work for the school nursing conference.
