Day 162 — Running in Multiple Directions
Today was a bit of a fragmented day. I split my time getting our offshore dev team up to speed, interviewing for the Invincible Kids Network, and designing content for our new module.
Here’s how it went.
1 — Offshore Dev Team Support
One of our latest experiments is getting additional development support. In the short-term, we’ll get support to build out some new features and fix some bugs. Long-term, I’m hoping we’ll have found a dedicated DevOps Team and support with feature development.
But with any new experiment comes some hurdles and today it took a few hours troubleshooting AWS keys and getting the team onboarded.
2 — Invincible Kids Network Interview
By far my favorite COVID development has been the Invincible Kids Network. I did an interview today with an amazing type 1 young adult and can’t wait to share the video soon.

3 — Content Development
Today I started building our app content for the Insulin Module. I created this GIF to explain how insulin works to help the body burn sugar for energy. My goal is to create an approachable analogy that helps people learn the basics of insulin.
What’s Next?
I have a lot of content development left to do, still — plus building out our backlog. Planning for a more focused, productive day tomorrow!
