Day 124 — Adding new content
Building our first “new” module
Now that we’ve released, my goal is to add something new to the app each week. Most weeks that will mean new / updated content; others that will mean new features.
Today I added a new module for monitoring CGM.
The New Module
CGM Basics
For people with type 1 diabetes, CGM is the greatest thing since sliced bread (well, ok, not counting insulin…). It allows us to have our glucose readings available on our phone and avoid constant finger pricks.
Before CGM, it was kind of like driving without a speedometer. Sure, you could do it, but it’s pretty unsafe.
With this new module, my goal is to create a space where teens can learn about CGM and have a safe space to practice using a CGM before they’re actually using it.
Spaceship Game
One of the coolest in-app teaching tools we’ve built is a rocket ship game. Unfortunately, in my rush to get our app published, I totally left it out. This next update will fix that.
